“粽子香,香厨房。艾叶香,香满堂”端午的歌谣还在耳边回荡;那沁人心脾的粽香也开始弥漫于鼻尖了。奶奶是我家的“大厨”。临近端午奶奶总会准备一大捆粽叶和一大盆糯米来包粽子。其实奶奶做的粽子并不像现在这样的花式繁多。只是清一色的糯米上镶嵌着一颗大红枣而已,却那么原始、纯粹,给人以实在感。
作为奶奶的小跟班,每当她包粽子时我总会守在一旁痴痴地看着。那泡了一夜的糯米颗颗透亮饱满,那用沸水浇洗过的粽叶散发出袅袅清香。奶奶手巧,包粽子的手法更是娴熟到了极致。只见奶奶将散发出幽香的粽叶放入手掌中,将白亮的糯米和红枣放到黄绿色的粽叶上,轻轻一翻一折一捏一拉,再用细细的麻绳一系,一个三角粽就成形了。奶奶将它们放在沸腾的锅中煮,盖着锅盖的大锅周边冒起雾气,锅中传出咕咚咕咚的声响,我已经直咽唾沫了。经过一番滚水的洗礼,粽子终于出锅了。可是刚出热水的粽子又被奶奶浸到冷水中,原来这样用冷水一激,粽叶与粽子容易剥离。剥下粽叶,蛋青般的粽子出来了。在洒上细细的白糖,开吃啦!我轻咬一口,独特的粽香在味蕾绽放,顿时唇齿留香。

每年农历五月初五是端午节,端午节又称端阳节、重五节。关于端午节还有一个美丽动人的传说呢。相传,我国春秋时期,楚国有位爱国诗人名叫屈原,他非常热爱自己的祖国,一心想振兴楚国。可是楚王却听信奸臣的谗言,疏远屈原。屈原悲愤欲绝,于是,万般无奈之下,投汨罗江而亡,想以此唤醒昏庸的楚王。楚国人们便划着小船带着食物,寻找这位伟大诗人的遗体。久而久之,赛龙舟、吃粽子的习俗便流传至今。
端午节是家乡三大节日之一,在我的家乡,每当农历五月到来,家家户户便忙碌起来。老人们开始准备包粽子了,他们从江边采来粽叶后,将碧绿的粽叶放入开水中烫一下,再捞出来剪好放在冷水中待用。扎粽子用的不是细绳子,也不是包装带,而是一种绿绿的挺结实的水草,家乡人管它叫“蓑衣草”,我觉得用它来扎粽子真是绝配。糯米是做粽子的主要原料,如果想吃甜的话,包上红枣或是桂圆;如果想吃咸的话,放进一些切碎的火腿肉;还有的老人心灵手巧,放上什锦菜,百味俱全,无论是视觉还是味觉上都是一种美的享受。
我的外婆是个包粽子的能手,每年的端午节,她都会大显身手,包出各式各样、各种口味的粽子。经外婆的手包出的粽子不仅个个有棱有角,形状各异,而且结结实实、久煮不破。左邻右舍请她帮忙,她都乐呵呵地答应着。看着乡亲们吃着自己亲手包的粽子时,外婆的脸上总是洋溢着幸福的微笑。
该煮粽子了,外公把包好的粽子轻轻地放到大锅里,加上满满一锅水,就开始生火了。我不停地跑进厨房里问外公粽子熟了没有,外公笑着说:“心急吃不了热豆腐呀!粽子是需要小火慢慢地煮的呀!”我极不情愿地又走开了。终于我的鼻子里钻进了阵阵清香味,我迫不及待地跑过去嚷着要吃粽子,外公这才打开锅盖,拿出一个粽子笑着说:“小馋猫,快吃吧,别噎着。”我也顾不上烫了,剥开粽子,咬了一口,顿时一股更加浓郁的香味在嘴里弥漫开来,那热气腾腾的松软的粽子令我爱不释手,一口气吃下好几个,把肚子撑得滚圆滚圆的。
除了吃粽子,我的家乡还有吃“五黄”的说法。所谓“五黄”是指黄鳝、龙虾、烤鸭、咸鸭蛋黄、苋菜。据说,这些食物具有驱邪、正气、保健的作用。每到端午节,这些食物在市场上总是供不应求。
很快,一年一度的端午节又要来到了,我不禁又想起家乡那诱人的粽子了,更思念我那擅长包粽子的外婆了。
